What They Do:
Nut runners provide the utmost torque controlling
ability, therefor they are used in a variety of fastening
applications. The larger format systems are usually
designed for Statistical Process Controls, Assembly
Lines and so forth. They are not only designed for
tighten and torque, but they also provide tapping,
reaming, beveling and expanding.
They are usually designed to be fixed and not portable.
All different sizes and adjustable sizes
are available from 1/4" to 1" and up.
Primary Types and How They Work:
There are two basic classes of nut runners and
controllers. Electronic and pneumatic. Electric nut
runners use a DC controller as a power supply.
Pneumatic nut runners are powered by compressed air
and vary in terms of air fittings and air consumption.
