Pressure Control Valve Product Guide
Brands We Repair:
What They Do:
Pressure control valves perform functions such as
limiting maximum pressure or regulating reduced
pressure within certain portions of a hydraulic circuit.
Relief Valves are in virtually all hydraulic system
connected between the pump outlet and the reservoir
to limit pressure to a preset maximum by diverting
some or all of the pump output back to the tank when
the pressure setting is reached. The can be pilot
operated (manual) or electronically modulated.
Primary Types and How They Work:
Their operation is based on a balance between
hydraulic pressure and mechanical spring force.
Most are designed to assume various positions
between fully closed and fully open, depending
on the requirements they are in.
